Teflon (PTFE or FEP) is the finest practical dielectric (i.e. wiring insulator) that polarizes a current from one end to the other.
Polyethylene is the SECOND best and used by many high end interconnect and cabling manufacturers due to its cost
effectiveness.  My Facemelter Limited Edition series utilizes hollow Teflon insulation with air between the tubing and the bare wire
in order to harness air as an additional dielectric.  This creates a transparent openness in the sound, enhancing the soundstage
etc.  I only use Teflon in all of my Signature series ICs, Powerphile cables, and signature speaker cables.

Shielding increases capacitance and resistance in audio cabling.  This a a fact in audio physics.  My signature Facemelter
series, Powerphile cables, and all of my speaker cables will never be shielded.  I do offer shielded ICs with very low capacitance
(as shields go, all under 20 pF per foot) if you prefer that style of IC or live next to a transformer.

CUSTOMER REVIEW OF THE FACEMELTER SERIES:

"Through the years, I've owned Monster, MIT (liked), Esoteric, AudioQuest (uniformly good stuff), Vampire Wire (top three), Blue Jeans
(top two), and now these Dyson Facemelters. This is the best sound I've had in my system. Every upgrade has added to the musical
experience. I lived very happily with the Blue Jeans for years, as they are a real find for someone looking for world class
(or close enough) sound at reasonable prices. I am very used to their sound in my system, and they are the measuring stick I'm
 using here.

I have found the Facemelters to be better. Here's how: The Blue Jeans give great midrange, very likeable overall balance, and very,
very good dynamics. The Facemelters appear to be a step up on pretty much every level. The balance is just beautiful, and the
dynamics roar. The bass definitely has more definition and tightness. They offer a lower noise floor, which is kind of deceiving.
You think the music isn't loud until you try talking. Then you realize the music is actually louder; it's the background noise in the
system that is lower, and the sound is just cleaner. It's just a very fluid and "right" listening experience.

But it's the midrange that sets apart the good from the great. I don't know if the Facemelters are quite as creamy as the Blue Jeans,
but they do appear to have more definition and a little more air about them. They're crisper in the midrange, but not edgy by any
means. Mind you, the Facemelters have just a few hours on them, so they may end up every bit as creamy as the Blue Jeans on top
of the other pluses I've noted (if you're one who believes that cables really need burn-in time).

Overall, I can heartily recommend the Dyson product. They are a noticeable step above the best I've used in my years of audiophilia.
With a product this affordable and this good, I see absolutely no need whatsoever to spend big bucks on interconnects. Mr. Dyson
knows exactly what he's doing here, and he's doing it beautifully."  Mark, Arizona
